Threads of Time

15.5x21

Professionally framed

This flag is what is referred to as a “3-2-3-2-3” flag. It represents the original 13 colonies and is quite rare. This pattern was used primarily during the Civil War era (1861-1865) and into the late 20th century, particularly for the U.S. Navy’s small boat ensigns. The flag is made of cotton, which looks faded by the sun. It also has some staining. Dates to the 1950s.
